I am an award-winning bilingual journalist, currently based in Mexico City. My work has appeared in publications such as Newsweek, The Atlantic-Quartz, Condé Nast Traveler, New York Daily News and the Sydney Morning Herald, as well as several print, TV and radio outlets in Spain and Latin America.
In a previous life I tried my hand at a myriad of things, from whipping lattés in Sydney’s North Shore to receiving Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon as part of the United Nations team in Brussels. I obtained two BAs from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Media Journalism; Modern Languages), an MA in International Reporting from the City University of New York, and called home places like France, Australia, Belgium, South Africa and Peru.
I will follow any story that catches my head, my heart or my stomach, particularly if it has to do with gender issues, strive for change or life’s big crossroads.
I use British spelling whenever Word’s autocorrector is not looking.
